Speaking of ODB, he borrowed a page from OJ Simpson and got one of the best lawyers money can buy. His ace in the hole is the man who brought OJ’s Dream Team together-Robert Shapiro. The other day while in court, Shapiro showed why he gets paid the big bucks by bucking down LA prosecutors who charged ODB with illegally wearing a bullet proof vest. The first thing Shapiro did was jam up prosecuting experts by asking whether or not they had tested the vest to see if it was made of Kelvar, which is the material used to slow down bullets. They had not tested the vest… mmmmmm Strike 1. Next Shapiro asked the arresting officer if ODB ever admitted Ýo wearing a bulletproof vest at the time of his arrest. ODB had not admitted Ýo wearing a vest. mmmmmm. Strike 2. Finally Shapiro moved to have the charges dismissed. He’s expected to argue the law forbidding one from wearing a bulletproof vest is unconstitutional because it denies people the right to protect themselves… mmmmmm. This just might wind up in the Supreme Court since there are laws on the books all over the country forbidding the wearing of these vests.. Shapiro may get that Strike out and win the ball game.
